We just purchased new 2015 Wildwood 30 KQBSS and are waiting to take delivery this upcoming week. We are new to the travel trailer world and would like to know if there are any concerns with our new trailer that we should be aware. Any camping tips greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome. Videotape your pdi. If it opens, closes, turns on or off Joubert it demonstrated and you return the demo. Make them show you how to winterize and dewinterize the trailer. Know where your water heater, water pump and low point drains are. Check all caulking, crawl on the roof and check it out. Make sure there are no openings, cracks, or leaks. This includes soft spots. Have them run through hitching and hitching processes with you. Practice this again a few times at home. Do not give them any money until the pdi and any/all repairs have been completed to your satisfaction. If you have to come back another day, so be it. You will lose less time then waiting on a warranty repair.

Did you get a wdh? Which on, does it have integrated sway control?

Get a water press regulator. Available cheap at Wal-Mart. Bypass the cheap sewer hose and go straight for the rhinos sewer hose. You will want approx 25 ft of sewer hose, 50 ft of fresh water hose (white hose), and we carry an extension cord for our trailer as well. 30 or 50 amp extension cord depending on what your tt is rated for. Our tt was 30 amp, we carried a 30 to 50 amp adapter. Get a surge protector that provides you with over and under protection. Lynx levelers are good for leveling. Get heavy duty chock blocks. The rest can wait and be spread out over time. Camp in your driveway, near home or near a Wal-Mart for your first trip so you can fervent you forgot. Bring a notepad so you can make a list if what you need. Most importantly, have fun.

Thank you for the information. We will make sure a full inspection of the trailer is performed before any money changes hands.

Than you. We are hoping to make our maiden voyage next weekend if all goes alright with the delivery. We are new to the travel trailer world but are not new to camping. We owned a cabin for 8 years. So we do have some skills. Looking forward to a lot of fun and adventure now that we will be mobile.
