We like the Roo 25RS but we think that the Shasta Revere 26RLSLE is a better match for us. (It's just us two 95% of the time so why not have more living space and get rid of the bunks). Waiting to hear back from Vicar's to see what price they are willing to offer us on the Shasta. (And to get a few specs to make sure we can tow with a Chevy 1500, since it's a 2012 I have had a hard time finding specs online). I will let you all know what happens when we go in on Saturday! It's okay I am already planning our first trip even though we don't have a camper yet right?
We booked before we had our camper too. We picked it up 2 days before our first weekend away. I hope everything works out for you guys! It is really exciting!

So we officially put a deposit down/came to a purchase price/applied for financing for a new 2012 Shasta Revere 26RLSLE! (same style as the Shasta 27RLSS but 1 foot shorter)

Now my question is…. We are having the dealer store it until May 1st. (We can’t store at our home so we figured get 2 months of free storage from the dealer). They want to do our walk thru and everything on April 27th but we are actually purchasing the TT Fe. 28th. Should we have them do the walk thru before we sign any financing papers? I am nervous that we will sign all the paperwork, pay 2 months payments come for the walk through and find something that we didn’t notice when we went over it on Saturday. Thoughts? Suggestions? Similar experiences?

Another question on insurance, is it better to get a separate camper insurance (looking at Good Sam and RV America) or just get it thru our current home/car insurance (Farmer’s). Pricing seems about the same but is there any advantage to getting the separate specific RV insurance such as better/more accurate coverage?

We have been tent camper for the past 10 years so all this stuff is new to us! Thanks for all the help!

I really don't think it matters when you do your PDI as long as you document everything it should be under warranty. As for the insurance and I am with allstate and after the break-in we had back in November I am going to switch to good Sam when it is IP for renewal due to the main fact is most of them are automobile insurance and they know nothing about insuring campers, I am still pissed off about the whole ordeal with the insurance company. We just delivered it to get it fixed last week when it happened back in November took them that long to deal with the claim.
