Newbie from Montana
Hello to all from Big Sky country,
My parents just purchased a 2012 Wildcat F241RLX. They decided on it because of the floor plan and because it is a small 5th wheel. I am on here for them (they aren't computer savvy ) I have done some research and have seen some things to look out for (leaks, draining and caulking issues, bump-out issues, tire, tire clearance and axle issues). I was hoping that members could also point out possible issues that we should watch for in the new Wildcat. We camp at least 15 times every summer (my father does not like to go off-road very far) and I camp in the winter quite often (I will be using the Wildcat for this). Thanks for any info or suggestions!

Hello and welcome to the forums! Checklists can be a great tool to use. It's so easy to become distracted while packing, setting up or breaking camp. Most of us borrowed a checklist posted here on the forums and then edit it to fit our needs.

Hey there and to the Forums
As for a checklist, found one at this webpage RV Camping Checklists
The others who own Wildcats can give you a heads up on what the possibilities that can go wrong, but not all Trailers will have same problems.

Nice looking unit. I really like the oversize step into the bedroom! I don't care much for the smaller step(s) that is often found in RVs.
Is it harder to get into the fridge?

Thanks Terier! The bigger step is nice and doesn't hinder one from getting in the fridge. If the door swung the other way....that might be a problem

You mention in the first post about this being a small 5th wheel - well this looks really big to me. Lots of space and storage. I can see why people like 5th wheels.
Enjoy!

For 5th wheels it's smallish. I think it's the smallest wildcat available....I might be wrong though We got the smaller 5th because we camp in the mountains around us and have a ton of switchbacks we have to go up and down (Chief Joseph Scenic Hwy, Beartooth Highway, ALT 14 and Highway 14 through Big Horn Mountains) We will definitely enjoy, thanks!

Welcome & thanks for sharing photos of your 5th wheel! Its quite a luxurious cozy living space! You are lucky you dont have to travel far to camp (us either) but we do enjoy getting out of area for a change! Dont have to tell you to have fun, its apparent you and the fam will. :-)

Thanks for the welcome handbuilder. It is a really nice place to stay, very comfortable. We are blessed being where we are, as you seem to be also. It is nice to get away, even if it is only 25 miles I hope you and yours the best on future camping excursions.
