Newbie from NC
Hi all!
What a great forum! I love reading all the questions and answers!
I sold my Timberlake popup earlier this year and bought a Roo 232 Hybrid! I love the tent ends! And, the slide out makes it so roomie for my boys and me!
My first trip was camping in Maryland and taking in the sites in DC in April! It was a great trip! I have been 7 other times since and am looking forward to some Fall camping here in NC.
Hello to all ........

Welcome to the forum.
As far as getting your picture on the left, go to your user
CP (on the menu bar), and click "edit avatar" under settings & options, and follow the prompts.

Welcome. North Carolina is a big State, over 700 miles long. You could tell us a city you are near. We're in Winston-Salem, about the middle.

Welcome to the forum from a neighbor just to the north of you in Virginia. Glad to have you here. (And we were just through Winston a few weeks back when we went to Asheville for a weekend.)

Welcome to teh Forest River Forum (FRF)
So yu spend some time in Maryland and DC. Did you find any campgrounds in that area worth mentioning? We are planning a trip in 2011 and plan to stop int he DC area and take in all the sites.
Thanks

Thanks! I'm near Winston-Salem in the middle of the state as I'm east of Greenboro!
The campground in Maryland was Duncan Family Campground and it was a nice campground and I would recommend it. However, ask them for a campsite in the middle of the campground. They put us along the road that was noisy at night. It was nice because it was across from the bathhouse and basketball court for the boys but it was noisy at night and early in the morning with trucks! They provided great directions for getting into DC and it was only about 20 minutes from the end of the blue line metro!

Thank you very much. I also like the location and will remember to ask for a space inthe middle away from the road.

Welcome. I'm down at High Rock Lake near Lexington, NC. I don't know if you got your Roo from Country Roads RV near Winston-Salem, but I can tell you that they have a great service department if you ever need it. They have been great to work with and they specialize in Forest River products. It's great to have a service facility like that nearby. Also check out Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury sometime. You'll love it.
