I'm not new to camping but new to full size travel trailer camping. My parents had a 24' Marathon several decades ago but dad always set it up. I'm 59 and have camped in about every situation you can think of.
One more boring fact before I get to my question. I have a Haulmark enclosed car trailer, by the way for sale. Haulmark posted in the owners manual what the tow vehicle's trailer ball height should be when pulling the trailer in a level position. Now the question..
This week we bought a 2016 Forest River work and play, 30 FBW, a 36' combination car/travel trailer. I can't find anything with the proper hitch height listed when trailer is level. It's hard to find level ground around here other than the street itself and to pull it out on the road, disconnect it from the truck, level and measure then reconnect would probably get me in trouble. Does anyone know about what the hitch height should be for this trailer?
By the way I did call the manufacturer and talk to a very nice guy named Chaz. He looked all over the place and found nothing at all listing this info. He actually seemed surprised as this is or can be a very important time saving fact. He said he may bring this up at the next meeting just to get some kind of feedback.
