Newbie from OR

Hello from Oregon! I bought a Rockwood A122SESP a couple of weeks ago and just took it out for the first time for 5 days. It was the first time towing any kind of RV and it was very easy to hook up and tow. No problem setting up. A little snafu with the water pressure...there was some debris in the aerator. Once we figured that out, the water pressure was great.

We have five more trips planned in Oregon this summer. Looking forward to learning more about all of the RV "how to's" from this forum. Overall, this seems like a great little camper that should work for us for years to come.

Your front end looks high. Are you using a WDH and what is the trailer's tongue weight?

The hitch weight of the trailer (is that the same as tongue weight?) is 290 lb. I am not using a WDH. We did have the back of the truck loaded with quite a bit of gear that I would put in the trailer next time while traveling.

That 290 number is a fantasy number. Never use brochure dry weights because they are based on a stripped-down version of the trailer of the trailer.
That 290 number doesn't include the weights of batteries, options, dealer add-ons, water or cargo.
The real world tongue weight could be around 400lbs.

Welcome to the forum. We were in Oregon back in 2009, during our 10-week cross country adventure. We really enjoyed the area around Joseph, and Wallowa State Park. We went mountain biking in the Hell's Canyon area, and also had a memorable time in Imnaha. I still have, and wear, a T-shirt from a little store there that says "Where the Hell is Imnaha". Beautiful area, for sure!!

Here are some pictures of the Main Street in Joseph. There are bronze statues on every street corner.

Thanks for the info! I'm definitely a newbie to the trailer/RV world. I'm planning on loading the trailer more over the axle instead of in the storage compartment by the hitch. We put too much weight in that compartment on the last trip.
