What kind of camper do you have?
And I have to ask, have you camped over by Tofino? I think the campground I am thinking about is just south of Long Beach. It is simply stunning out there.

We`re are geting rid of our old 78 9.5ft security camper ,,have had it for 20 odd yrs everything still works (if only it could talk;; the places that rig has been) it`s been though 3 diesel 4x4`s it has served us well .. anyway we just purchased a 2010 Monaco Trail Cruiser23QB, won`t be able to go to as many offroad places ,buy that`s what the atc`s are for,, as for ,the west coast of Vanc Isl "Long Beach area" it`s awesome , if you plan on camping in the provincial parks ya better book early well worth it . cheers Denny

just a note, your Monaco is not a Forest River product. sometimes people join, not knowing the focus here is on Forest River RVs.
i know there is a R-Vision owners website. Monaco owns R-Vision.

but, we welcome all but you probably not be able to get help or info, specific to your trailer. but for generic-type questions, you should be able to get lots of help and info.

by the way, what's a "security camper"?

Hello Denny, I used to live on the Island for about 22 years, mostly in Victoria and Saanich. I really miss breakfast at the James Bay Tearoom, walking around Government and Fort Streets, all the heritage houses in Victoria, drives through Oak Bay and lots more. Used to live on 10 acres in Saanich. Now living in Rural Langley, BC. Gawd, I miss the Island!

Never had an RV before but we bought a 20' TT end of last summer. Can you say what are good campgrounds to go to in the lower Island area? We used to take our kids tenting at Goldstream Provincial Park. That was nice being amongst the tall trees. Our TT has a rear dinette with big picture window so a site with a view of some sort would be nice. I imagine there are some nice campgrounds up island like say Tofino area? What about Campbell River and northward?

Hate to think how much the ferry fare will be tho! They keep saying fares are going up. But then, so is EVERYTHING in BC now. Gas is now over $1.40/litre and it's not even summer yet....
