Canoeing and camping fun

Newbie from the Finger Lakes area of New York
New to TT camping in Oct DH and I purchased a Rockwood Mini Lite 2503S from Johnston RV in Palmyra N.Y. It arrived at the dealership in December and we went over for a two hour orientation. Took lots of notes and asked lots of questions based on information from this forum (video didn't work). Spent a lot of time on this forum while deciding what to purchase. DH is six foot four inches tall so that cut down on our options. Luckily we have friends who have owned TT for years and they went to an RV show with us and pointed out good and bad points in different models. Love the room in the 2503S and having two doors.
We started out camping with backpacks and canoes in wilderness areas of the Adirondacks. After our boys grew up advanced to larger tent in DEC campgrounds after too many nights of the air mattress deflating upgraded to a pop-up. Still wanted the tent feel. Decided a year ago after five years with the pop-up that it was time to go to something without canvas.
Our first two trips will be dry camping in the Adirondacks, after we pick up the camper this spring.

I was born and lived part of my childhood in the Finger Lakes area, Geneva. I still have relatives there and the DW and I are actually thinking of pulling our TT up there, somewhere, this summer.
