Newbie Heading on Cross Country Trip

Hello! I am picking up my new Toy Hauler, a Grey Wolf 21RR this Friday to support a west coast relocation from Ohio. We have wanted a travel trailer for years as traveling with our two large pups and toys has been a challenge. We are going to take the camper out for a test run this weekend and will be departing for our 2400 mile trek from Ohio to California next weekend. Any advice on items to look out for or thorougly inspect is appreciated. I am a bit concerned about the stock "trailer" tires and the long trip ahead. I was thinking about changing to radials but didn't want to waste the money if this is unnecessary? Also, does anyone have a good planning tool to find nice campsites along a planned route. We are planning to take the northern route to CA and hope to take in some sights along the way. We would like to find some good campsites that are more private for the pups and scenic. Any feedback is appreciated!

When we went to Yellowstone this June,Turbs showed us a nice spot in Iowa,I'll find the name n post ASAP,may not b on you're rt. southern Iowa. If you are going across 90 we fell in to a nice place, in Sioux Falls called Big Sioux Recreation area. Short drive to the falls, nice sights, walking path on the river, look it up. Also, stayed at Rafter J Bar Ranch, in the Black Hills, nice !
Found the spot in Davenport IA it's called Scott county conservation area, West lake park, very nice, I think $12/ night w electric n h20. We only stayed one night, but it was prity cool.
This was our maiden voyage with our new toy hauler, Work and Play, stock tires, did fine, juz keep n eye on them,at all stops.
