Smile Newbie here - just trying to learn

Hi... Just wanted to stop by the intro forum and introduce myself. I'm JB and I just got a 2014 Sierra 376bhok three months ago. I'm really enjoying it, so far, despite a list of about 20 problems found, most minor, thank goodness. I'm here to do a bit of research and learn from all the experienced owners, as I am new to being a part-timer, and roadschooler of two kiddos. I'm also a single mom, so figuring out "fix it" and "maintenance" things the hubby used to do, is also new to me. This model seems to need some mods to make it comfortable for us, but I'll save all my questions for the appropriate threads. Looking forward to getting to know ya'll!

Welcome from NC. Staying calm and getting the warranty issues fixed is a good start. If you haven't already, look into the forest river second yr warranty. It is technically supposed to be initiated within 10 days of trailer purchase but recent posts indicate forest river has been allowing later purchases. Try emailing the customer service link and asking them if you can still get it and clarify the price. The download shows Sierra to be $250. Here is the link to the download. We also have a Library section here on the forum with lots of helpful information for you.

Welcome!
Just googled the Sierra 376. WOW!! How many slides does that thing have??
That's a for real "Land Yacht". You'll really get to like this forum for all kinds of information. Like" how do you park that?" and other such questions.
Kidding aside, the folks here will give good advice based on years of experience. You'll have plenty of help available for the asking. We love the RV experience and really enjoy the road. Sounds like you and the "kiddie-poos" do too.
Happy Camping

Welcome from So Cal! 20 problems are a lot to deal with but it sounds like you are tackling them one at a time. Good for you! Please do ask questions as this site has many experienced members eager to help.

Welcome to the FROG pond! (Forest River Owners Group)

Wow, that 2014 Sierra 376bhok is huge!!

RV owners don't have problems, we have challenges! Personally, I always bring 3 toolboxes with me..including a torque wrench to check all the lug nuts before heading out. (It's amazing how many times I've found a couple lugs a little loose.)

Welcome to the forum. Don't get too excited about the initial problems, especially if they are relatively minor. As long as you have a decent dealer, it should be ok.

You didn't state what part of the US your in. Cold weather is approaching and things need to be addressed for (Cold/Freezing) in a RV. Are you moving all the time or Setup at a location, this all plays into the action needed! Youroo!!
