Newbie in PA

Just picked up our little Viking 21RD yesterday. Looking forward to some short trips soon as I am not quite fully retired. Made the progression over a long time from tent to pop-up to this small TT. Hard to believe it probably has more room than some of the "Tiny Homes" people are going into. After the last nine years of airports and field service in many parts of the world, I'm looking forward to seeing lots of the USA from the ground and have a simple place to sleep.

Welcome from Madison, AL. Congratulations on the new TT, We are still doing that "W" thing to, but we do love to get out as often as we can, even if it is just a few miles from home.

Welcome from East Berlin, Pa.

Just to let you know there is a FROG rally in Gettysburg, June 23-25 at Gettysburg Campground. It's a great time meeting other folks.

We also have one a little further away at Chenango Valley state park, Chenango Valley, NY. (Just outside Binghamton) on July 21-23.

The Gettysburg rally you call the campground to make your reservation and say your with the FROG group under Brian Klann. They will give you our group discount.

For
the New York one you just resister through reserve America. Most of us are in spots 98-121.

These are always fun and you meet great people. Congrats on your new camper and have fun.

You can find threads about these and others on the FROG events and rally thread.

Thank you all for the welcome. I am looking forward to full retirement soon and getting out. Right now, my DW and I are getting it stocked and prepped. I looked under the rear(side) fold-down couch where the power line comes in to see about placing a hard-wired surge protector there; what a pain in the butt trying to work under a partially folded couch.

Think I am heading up to the Pinnacle and Pulpit tomorrow for a hike..

If we get many more PA folks on here (been a bunch lately) we will need our own section of the forum.

That's a great hike. My daughter and I have done it a bunch of times. We did Hawk mountain a couple of weeks ago when they still had some snow on the ground. Enjoy.

Our favorite local campground is lake in wood in Narvon but it's not your rustic campground if that's what you like.
