Newbie Toyhauler in Tennessee
Well, my wife and I have been looking for about 4 years and finally came across a deal on a 2008 Forest River Wolfpack 27DFWP Toy Hauler. We like the layout in it. It doesn't have slides which would have been a bonus but then we will be hauling with an 07 Tundra. It will pull but don't need the extra weight.
Been getting it ready for the last 3 weeks since purchase. As it is used, I knew there would be some things I would need to fix, update, replace.
I had to replace the rear Scissors Jacks as it appears they backed into something or rolled off with them down.
I have a leak when filling my fresh water tank, up near where the filler hose enters the tank. Might be a loose clamp - will see.
I have a Concertone Stereo/TV setup. I imagine as this was originally sold in 2007 that it does not have a built in Digital Converter. I imagine when I find more funds, I will just replace the unit as I have been reading some negative things on Concertone.
I guess this is the most frustrating thing:
This Toy Hauler has a Fueling station. It has a GPI fuel pump on it and a 32 gallon tank. I wanted to put about 10 gallons with some fuel system cleaner and a little Stabil in it to flush the tank. Was going to pump it back out to use in my lawn mower - heck, the lawn mower will run with anything. I can't get anything to pump out. The pump runs fine. Been told that the Suction/Supply tube that runs from the tank to the pump might be clogged. How the heck would I get that out. It goes in the top of the tank. Since the Frame is built first, the Tanks laid in the frame, then the Body is laid on the top of that, I don't see how I can fix. Does anyone have any suggestions. If I need to, I will carefully cut a hole in the side and run a new hose down to siphon out the fuel or possible run to the pump.
I am a little anxious about pulling this thing. In the military, I drove a 5 ton with a 16,000lb Howitzer behind it on public roads. Couldn't hurt that thing. This is different.
