Newbies from Arcata, CA - 2015 R-pod 178!

Hello! We just purchased a 2015 R-pod 178! We are very excited!

We will be towing it with a 2011 Toyota Tacoma.

I am a bit nervous about towing/parking! Have never owned a camper before and have only towed a trailer a couple times!

Seems like we will need lots of accessories like levelers, chalks for the tires, etc.! Any advice is much appreciated!

Congrats on the 2015 R-Pod 178! Lots of good times are ahead for you & the family. Towing is pretty easy as the camper will follow but watch the tail when turning sharp or backing up. Go to a big empty lot and practice parking & backing up.

As for shopping - you might be able to wait to get some items depending upon your camping style and the campgrounds you are visiting. Most likey you will want to upgrade the fresh water & sewer hoses. Most WalMarts have a small RV section close to the auto section.

Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your 2015 R-pod 178. As far as shopping make sure you pick up a water pressure regulator.

Consider going to the Oregon Roundup, a FROG event that is attended by many, many RPod owners. You will meet lots of nice folks and learn a lot about your RPod.

We don't have an RPod, but we will be there.

Welcome from Minnesota. Our first ever camping trip with an RV was at the closest campground to home. We ended up making a few trips home to get things. Just don't forget the most important thing to camping; FUN
