Newbies from CO

Spouse and I have camped together since about 1973 or so, well before we were married. Just bought our first 'camper'...a little 176 pop-up we felt was probably a bit bigger than we really need, but more affordable than the Airstream 16' we really wanted.

Thought I'd just say howdy because I'm sure I'll have a million questions for The Experienced. I didn't know refrigerators could run on propane till yesterday, and I won't know how to pop-up a pop-up 'till next week. Never saw the interior of a little trailer folding camper until this week, so it's all new to me!

It is a very fun pastime for sure. My family will tent camp at least 3-4 times this summer.

Love both types of camping!

What do the two of you enjoy doing when outdoors?

Colorado and surrounding states are great places to camp.

Welcome from Wisconsin. Have done a fair amount of camping in your scenic state.

Welcome to FRF!!

and thanx for the great pic of Christopher George, from the Rat Patrol!

what an exciting show for a kid.
that show and Combat were my favorite tv shows as a kid.
also loved his short-lived series, The Immortal.

Welcome from Boulder CO! Where in CO are you?

I know the feeling about the Airstream.....I still have the shiny-aluminum-TT disease. I though buying a big box trailer would fix it....it didn't.....

Thanks for the warm welcome. We're in Colorado Springs...since late 1991 when we moved from San Pedro CA. I also used to watch Combat! and was surprised to read that the TV series actually lasted longer than the war did...which is good.

Main activities when doing weekend camping is hiking with the dog and cycling. I prefer hoofin' it to cycling these days, but hope this summer brings us each a kayak as well. Having just bought the little camper, I doubt the sea kayaks will happen this year though.

Got the Jeep all cleaned up and ready to tow. Looking forward to a summer of camping again--it's been a year or two since we really got out.
