Newbies looking for advice

Okay, this is our very first post. We are looking to get into the RV'ing and have looked at just about every travel trailer out there. We are looking at the EVO T2600. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has one and what your experience has been. What kind of issues, if any?

What kind of upgrades will it need as soon as we drive it off the lot? I have read a lot about tires, surge protectors, and battery switches, etc. Are all of these not up to standard or just not included (minus the tires of course!)?

Thanks in advance.

Make certain that your tow vehicle' payload capacity (not towing capacity) can handle the fully loaded TT and every thing you plan to load in your tow vehicle. There are other threads describing how to weigh your vehicle to stay within the placard Gross Vehicle Weight & Gross Axle Weight.

Welcome!

Welcome to FRF!

Suggest you go to the Evo sub-forum and see if there are any T2600 owners there.

Welcome to the forum from upstate NY. As HangDiver noted the first step is to make sure your TV is up to the task of towing your choice of TT, and towing well, without pushing the limits. As for tires; the OEM tires on your RV are probably Chinese and not as well constructed as an American made tire, but, they'll do for now. Surge protector, put one on your short list. An on-board EMS would be better, but it can wait if you are on a budget. Battery switches? I'm not sure what you mean. Happy camping! God Bless.

I think the OP means battery disconnect switch.
