Officially a FROG!

Picked up the 3051 yesterday in Ohio! We on are the first trip home via black hills South Dakota. Very happy with purchase. We tried to do our homework as much as possible. This is our first RV! This forum answered many of our questions. The walk thought is still a blur and we thought we would remember more. Manual and you tube video time! We love the RV, hate the wind and trucks! Driving is definitely different than a car. More mushy. We are in the forth state with 2 more until the first part of the journey is done. If I dont have a heart attack driving it first!

We have lots of rookie questions to come. We parked and plugged in electric and ran heat pump last night! Auto level work ok but not great. I think we will figure that out in time. We did hear a pump cycle which we thought was the auto level but I turned the water pump off and it went away. Should this be kept on and cycle? We filled half water for the trip.

Congrats on becoming an FROG and on your first RV too! As for the walk-through being an blur I'm betting that you remember more than you think. My recommendation would be to set up camp either in the driveway or a local campground and of course post any questions you have. At campgrounds other RVers are usually eager to help out especially an new owner. Dotting down notes and using your smartphone as a camera or video taping can be helpful too.

BTW what line does the 3051 belong to?

It is a forester. C class! Much fun. Second night out and still figuring it all out! 2 more hours for the night to KOA!

Congrats and good wishes!
The water pump should NOT stay on except during use and slightly thereafter as it builds back pressure. Steady or regular cycling while all water taps are turned off indicates a leak somewhere in the lines or a pump with a bad pressure switch. 1st step is check underneath RV for wet spots. Also check for leaks around water filter and external shower.

Perfect. I have a fitting on the bottom that needs to be tightened on the next stop from a separate thread. Then water fill and I'll check the pump. Thanks!
