Oh so happy and need advice

We have just purchased a 2015 Rockwood HW277.
Currently opened in our side yard.
Will take first trip to our fishing club. Then later this summer to Lake Superior.

We are also getting into rock hounding, and would like to visit the Carolina's next year. Is there anyone who has pulled High wall through
the flat lands of the Midwest to North Carolina and then South Carolina.
If I am correct, we will be going through some mountains.
We have a Ford Explorer V6.

Any advise is welcomed.

Mr. & Mrs. Walter

Welcome to the Forums Eunice from Huntsville AL!

You did not say *what* V6 your Explorer has. Is it an EcoBoost?

Also be helpful to see what your Explorer is rated to tow versus the weight of your Rockwood HW277

I have more info. No it is not an Eco boost. According to the dealer, we can tow single axle. It has a standard tow package. Our 2003 Explorer is rated for approx 3200 lbs.

Look up tow rating on trailer life tow charts, don't take dealers word. They have been know to stretch the rating to make a sale.

I have a 2000 f150 v-6 I bet yours is a 4.2 v-6 as well your tow weight is different but your tv is smaller than a truck our first thing we had was a pop-up it weighed 2500 lbs and pulled just fine we've been through some tough hills but no mountains though
