Cool Oklahoma Checking In.

We bought a new 2014 Catalina 313RLS in March. I'm hauling it back to the dealer for warranty repairs after work today. I found this place looking for water pump upgrade info. I figured, since I'm going to be an "RV'er" now, I might as well join the cool people and have a resource for knowledge about them. We've had it out three times now and love it...except everything that fell apart this last weekend.

I'm an electrical engineer by trade and enjoy diesel performance, cattle, welding, etc etc.

I'll get started using the search function so I don't get called out being a newb around here. I've got over 20K posts on other forums, so you won't have to deal with any newb crap from me.

See ya'll around.

Thanks. We used pressurized water the first two trips. Lake Oolagah only has a few faucets so we had to fill our tank for the first time last weekend and used the pump. It didn't work right, so I pulled the pump. I found the cone washer on the outlet port was all twisted up and blocking the port. Swapped washers with the inlet and it got better, but not anywhere near acceptable. It trickles down to a small stream after about 2 seconds. The pump comes on with the opening of any valve and shuts off when pressured, but it won't handle any flow. Must be another blockage or blocked tank screen or something. Pump says 3gpm. I'd bet $20 if wouldn't deliver a quart/min in a bucket test.

Then it rained. After finding water in the master bedroom, I found the tin on the outside had blown apart on the way to the lake on the highway I guess. This equals "mad momma." LOL

That night, my two kids were on the kitchen table/bed watching a movie. It collapsed. 5 and 7 yrs old, 35 and 45 lbs respectively. "Mad daddy." LOL

Tub surround is coming off. Wall paper in the kitchen is peeling. Showerhead won't shut off. Just a cornucopia of little crap I wouldn't worry about....but since it is going in for the pump and tin....they might as well fix it all. I realize how cheap every trailer is built....but Lord....the board that holds the table up when used as a bed is attached by staples? No glue. Craziness. I get "lightweight" but I don't get "under designed. " An additional 1200 wood screws wouldn't affect the overall weight of the trailer at all!

I'll quit babbling. I'm still learning the whole "RV" thing. Never been around them much. I learn something new every trip which is good.

I live in the Mulhall/Orlando area, but I've lived/worked in Stillwater since 1992 when I started college here, so I claim it as home. Go Pokes! It frustrates me that we never pull off a championship in football or basketball....but our new motto is "there's always next year." At least we don't make up excuses and whine and cry like the Gooners when they loose. We just grab another beer and cuss a little. LOL

I want your tractor. My 4020 is currently down with a stripped oil pump gear on the cam. I'm dreading ripping it apart....but it is time. Been down for a couple months.

from a neighbor from north central Texas.
We were in Shawnee Monday and Tuesday to watch our grandsons play baseball. The game was cancelled 3 hours prior to game time!!

My John Deere is a 2520 - would fit in the pocket of these real tractors!
