Old guy from Texas

Good morning everyone. I just joined this morning. I'm in the process of purchasing a Cedar Creek Hathaway (5th wheel). I wanted to get on this form to see any news that I might need to know going in. I currently own another brand for the last 3 years and I didn't do enough research on it going in. So I'm not going to make that mistake again.

Any information about this 5th wheel will be greatly appreciated.

Ordered and picked up a Hathaway 34RE in March from one of the volume discount dealers. Discontinued model. Only 37’ long.

Our issues were minimal. Stuff just works. Dealer did a PDI before we got there.

Love the auto level. It is fiddley though.

Ordered the gas/electric water heater. The demand cheap water heaters do not work for water conservationists. Wife is a on off water person.

We bought the gas/electric refrigerator. We operate great on 30 amp service. A plus. Many state parks have few or no 50 amp sites.

Bought 4 six volt batteries.

Slide toppers. Mom loves the washer, dryer. Convection microwave. King bed.

Anderson hitch.

We will use it about 8 weeks this year. Sort of like staying at the Ritz without the room service.

Welcome to FRF.
Suggest you check out the Cedar Creek sub-forum. Lots of CC owners there to answer your questions.

What 'mistakes' were involved in your first purchase? We can give all kinds of advice, but some of that advice may look to you as being 'a mistake' (?). Help us, help you on what you may be worried about.
