Old Newbies

My wife and I purchased a 2009 gently used flagstaff 8524rkss 5er this past march. This is our first RV. We spent 9 nights in Branson mo in July and have taken it out for some other short trips as well. We are also using it for mizzou football tailgating. I love this forum! I have learned so much from the members here! Thanks for helping us newbies learn the ropes!

We live in saint peters mo it's near St. Louis. I park it in a storage lot near home. When in Columbia tailgating we use cottonwood RV park.

Saint Peters looks like a real nice place.

There is a new 'Camping World' store as you come into town from the east at the route Z exit on your right. All kinds of nice toys and must haves for your unit.

Cottonwood rv could be better park than it is, but better than nothing. I like to camp at the Finger Lakes State Park 5 miles north of Columbia on Highway 63. Fishing, boating, swimming, and one of only of two, 4/wheeler and dirt bike parks in the state and a gun shooting range.

I agree on cottonwood. Close quarters there but convenient for tailgating. Thanks for the tip. I'll check that one out. Sometimes we're just looking for a campground close by. A little weekend getaway. I saw the new cw haven't had a chance to go in one yet. Ordered plenty of stuff online though!

Been to a few over by you.

Babler SP close to Chesterfield

Cuivre' SP a little north of I-70 on u.s.61

There are three Corp of Engineer campgrounds and one SP (Florida) by Cannon Dam at Mark Twain Lake.

Wakonda SP is north of Hannibal

Graham Cave SP is at Miniola Hill on I-70 (most sites are small)

I have stayed at all of these and they are very nice. All about 1/2 to 1 hour away from St.Peters
