Welcome to the forums. I agree on the FROG events in Canada, we definitely need something like that up here. As for camping prices, Saskatchewan PP range from Electrical $20-26 plus your vehicle permit ranging from $7-50. Non electric $13-17 plus vehicle permit. For all season camping $1,500 vehicle permit included and no drinking on May long weekend.

woow .. pancake bay ..

We did a one night stopover at Pancake bay .. in the middle of July. We pulled in late, past dusk, and the mosquitos where out in hords. I have never camped where these bugs were just so furocious.
We do the Lake Ontario campgrounds like Presquile and Sandbanks yearly, Bonne Echo, have done all the provincial parks up highway 7, Murphies Point, Fitroy, and all of the Algonquin area.
I do agree that the fees are outragous, however we have never seen or heard curfews and such. Part of the experience of Ontario Provincial Parks can only be enjoyed by smaller trailers, thats why we went so small and converted to solar, to lower the reservation price a bit, enjoy almost all the convieniences of home, in a nice private campsite near the water.
You may wish to look up Long Sault Parkway ... as it is along the same lines as the above parks, but almost all the sites are on the waters edge. Good fishing and biking .. for those who enjoy this type of weekend.
