Opinions when comparing models...

We are looking to purchase our first travel trailer. We are a family of 5 with kids 14, 12 and 8. We have two possible tow vehicles: 2005 Yukon XL 1500 4WD and a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD. We plan to camp close by - maybe 1-2 hours away at most. We think we have narrowed it down to a Dutchmen Kodiak 283BHSL and a Cherokee Grey Wolf 29BH. Both give us 4 bunks at lighter weight. We also like the Salem 30QBSS but have decided it may be too much for us to pull. Looking for any insight or reviews when comparing the above mentioned models. We are excited to get started but want to make sure we have researched all possibilities while staying within our vehicle abilities. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums! You are ahead of the game with doing research now instead of after buying. I don't have enough knowledge to give you feedback to your questions but hopefully someone with more experience will drop in.

Good luck!
