Our 1st RV!

Picking it up next week and I'd be lieing if I didn't say I was nervous. A new 28' Rockwood 5th wheel. Should be interesting. I'm not even sure how to level the beast. Can you use blocks under the stabalizing jacks or do you use the wheels?

Use blocks under the wheels. I use wood planks.

Start by getting level with blocks/boards under the wheel(s)from side to side.
Then, once you unhook, you can level front to back.

Remember the rear stabilizers are just that... stabilizers.
Do your front to back leveling with the front landing jacks and the snug up the rears to eliminate movement. You can use blocks under the front jacks and rear stabs if necessary.

You will likely want to invest in some X-Chocks for between the tires to help eliminate movement when walking inside the 5er.

Many of us also use another set of stabilizers at the axle area, to help eliminate bounce inside as well.

Best of luck and most of all... Enjoy!

Congrats on your new Rockwood 5th wheel! Lots of good times & memories are ahead. The best way to become experienced is by camping in your RV. Most RV owners are very friendly and eager to help other RV owners especially new owners.
