Our first RV trailer! 2018 Forest River Rockwood Premier A122SESP

Hello everyone!
A RV noob here! Until a year ago, My wife and I have always been boaters and we’ve been fortunate enough to have her parents cabin at the lake to stay in. We’ve done a small amount of tent camping over the years and now that we sold our boat, we’ve decided to give RVing a try. There’s only 3 of us in the family so we really didn’t need a big trailer. Plus we will have 3 dirt bikes in th bed of the truck on some of our trips so payload capacity is an issue. We feel like we’ve found the perfect trailer to meet our needs and wants while safely remaining within all our truck’s capacities even with all our toys on board and in tow.
So we picked up a 2018 Forest River Rockwood Premier A122SESP. Coming up on the inaugural trip next weekend.
It tows effortlessly with my truck and fits perfectly in my garage.

I’m glad I found this forum because we are noobs to RVs and our dealership is almost 2 hrs away. Even though this is a super simple trailer to set up and operate, I know I’m gonna have to lean on this form sometimes in the beginning.

Happy to be here and looking forward to dragging this little trailer around.

I’m sure you will enjoy your adventures. Very nice looking rig. We had a pop up for many years when our kids were little. We have many fond memories and a few not so fond memories. Those make for the best stories, though. I’m looking forward to hearing your stories over the coming years.

Thanks! I feel like we are starting off fast. Our first trip is a local get away, about 1hr and a half away...a trial run so to speak. Then we are jumping in both feet. We are going to Weeki Wachi and Dunedin FL. at the first of June. Then in July we are planning a trip to The Grand Canyon and Lake Tahoe. Its on!

We had our inaugural RV trip this past weekend and it went very well. We learned a few things that we'll need to do a little differently but overall we are extremely pleased with our choice. Looking forward to many more!

Love the dual cooking areas. Greatly reduced the time to make meals and helps to keep the galley area inside the trailer much cleaner.
