panic?

Hi..I just posted for the first time on the Lexington MH site...we are soon to purchase ( deposit down) and then today read a "zillion" horrible comments about QA, service ,warrranty, roof and slide leaks with Forest River...........yikes...should I pull out or are these exaggerated on the other sites (RV.net, RVUSA.com). I hope this "dream" of ours is going to be a nightmare..any comments would be helpful. Thanks

i would say
everyone has problems.
and poor quality is no excuse

do a thorough predleivery inspection, to include slides out and a water hose leak test.

forest river was going through some issues, but we have been in our creek full time for three years and have zero issues,
i did blow up a microwave but it was not frs fault

We just purchased a used 2006 CC Silverback TT. The Trailer is like new and was almost sold as new at the dealer. Still has the great new smell. Any way, we have ours on a perm site and the slides are left out. Last week we had some very heavy rain and when we came back up today there were no problems. I used to work for Fleetwood and owned a Fleetwood and the quality we have here and what Fleetwood had is like night and day. One problem we did have was a breaker on the A frame tripped and we couldn't run the slides in or out without hooking a battery to the pump itself. So far we are Very Happy with this CC TT

On "that other site" if your RV is any other brand than mine or if your truck is any smaller than mine or your computer/gril/awning lights/tank chemicals/or whatever isn't just like mine....

THEN STAND BACK AND LET ME KICK IN THE AFTERBURNERS!!! THERE'S GONNA BE A FLAMIN' !! WHOOOWEEEE WHAT FUN!!

So I wouldn't worry about it much.

Our Forest River "Surveyor" was delivered to us in very nice condition. We have not had it long but initial quality was very good.

Same here... Had our Surveyor a few months, Our Wildwood for several years. Both of them had/has good quality.

Keep in mind, Travel Trailers are not like a custom home. You WILL find some things that go wrong with them. I mean, you cannot expect to get a long, thin-walled, house on wheels... drag it all over the country... and not see a few things wrong with it. But you will be suprised just how sturdy they are.

There are also several of us that enjoy "mod"ing our TTs from the original condition... (But beware, it gets addicting).
