Pantry Shelves

Hi, I'm new and my name is Dave. I tried a post earlier but must have screwed it up as it is lost in the computer world somewhere so I will try again. My pantry in my 2010 Georgetown 360DS came with 4 shelves and I need 2 more. They measure 21"L x 4"W x 3"H and I will try to attach a picture. I've looked everywhere except going to Forest River. Any ideas?

Thanks

Don't they have these in Lowe's, Home Depot or the like? Camping World? My DH (dear husband) build some slide out shelves for my pantry in my Jayco...bought drawer slides and they were great.

Very difficult to find outside FR seem like custom made, they arent practical therefore a few folks changed to this instead. I think it is 22" drawer slides from Lowes and build frames for the drawers and slides get 3X the volume and better organized.

No one has them in the size I need and my wife is tired of seeing my handy work with metal.

Wire shelving from any home improvement store makes very good shelves and is easy to install (put in upside down and you have nice fiddle to keep things from falling out) Easy to cut with a hacksaw, paint the ends, cut a cleat from 3/4" stock and attach to the sides and back with #6x1" screws. Installing three of them this weekend.

to the forums!

Try checking with your service department about ordering them from FR so you can the size you are seeking.

We had that wire of pullout pantry shelves in our last TT and really miss them. You may want to give The Container Store a try. They do carry that type of pullout shelving, so you will have to check to see if it is available in your size.

(part number for that basket is PPB304WW) This part while similar will not fit Forest River issued products I've seen or had before installed drawers in mine. The problem is the rack in this system is drilled to receive straight pegs, the existing baskets hang on hooks fitted on the racks. They are not interchangeable!

Smile Pantry Shelves

Thank You Everyone. I think I'll check out the draw system if I can do it on our next layover of more than a month. That will be at the KOA Madeira Beach St Pete after 12/1.

I hope to be more active in the forum, but helping.

Dave
