I winterized last year after the amana rally about the 3rd week of October but you know Iowa weather and we've camped all the way up to Halloween.
I pretty much winterize when lows are going to be consistently below 30 degrees.
I live 38 miles east of cr.

Congrats and welcome. Don't let your excitement cloud you vision. I recommend you don't sign any paperwork until after the PDI. Don't accept the unit until it is right. Dealers are very motivated to fix problems when their money is at stake. Once they have your money that urgency is gone. You are buying this RV to enjoy not park on a dealer's lot waiting for warranty repairs.

These are very wise words.
We have the same trailer. Its a great couples trailer. We have had ours 2 years and still love it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy ours.
This place is a great resource for lots of information. If you need help, feel free to ask.

Thank you I think that is great advice. I have heard nothing but great things about cheyenne but I am still going to be careful. I appreciate everyone's help. It really eases the nervousness knowing so many of you are here to help.

We have the 21 FBRS, too. We had only two items on our punchlist after our first trip, which the dealer is fixing under warranty. One was the TV antenna not rotating, which was caused by over-enthusiastic factory application of roof sealant around the antenna base, basically sealing it all together up there. That's fixed.
The other is a switch in the water heater compartment which basically left the water heater ON in electric mode whenever it was plugged in to shorepower, regardless of whether it was switched on or not at the panel. They have ordered the part from Suburban and it's due in shortly.
We are looking forward to many happy days of camping in our 21 FBRS.

Unless you have "2" water heater switches one "gas" and one "electric" on your interior panel, the switch inside has nothing to do with the switch outside regardless.
One is for gas mode and one is for electric mode.
They can be used "seperate" or "together" for faster recovery.

i think they are saying the switch is bad and no matter what position the switch is flipped to, its on...
ie, you can't turn it off

I re read and thought they said "regardless" of the position of the "interior" switch.
Ty for the catch.
