Picking up my first ever TT next Saturday!

Hi! Picking up my Grey Wolf 26DBH next Saturday! Really wish i could do it before then so i could avoid rushing a Memorial Weekend trip, but work requirements won't allow.

The whole family is on pins and needles awaiting all of the coming adventures We spent the day buying stuff to stock it. We're gonna jump right in and take it to a family campground just hours after picking it up. I'm sure that's probably nuts and they're will be a million things I'll need and didn't think of when i go to set it up.

If there is anything I will definitely need and are often forgot, please let me know. I've been researching this forum like crazy to help avoid a disaster.

Happy camping!

Welcome to the forum. Part of the Rv experience is doing without some of the conviences. So you will develope a list of necessities as you get out more but, one thing my wife and I routinely double check is medication, its not a good thing to remember prescription drugs when you're 500 miles from the medicine cabinet. What you need will vary depending on length of stay, distance from home, type of camping you'll be doing (Rv park or dry camping), and distance from shopping centers.

Congrats on your new TT! Taking it out right away will be a good way to start enjoying it. If you are doing a PDI (inspection and walk-through with instructions) you should be able to see if you have the basic equipment to start with. As for everything else I would suggest keeping it simple at first as you develope your camping style. By the way checklists can be really useful.

Please keep us updated on your maiden voyage. We love pictures too.

I have attached a document you need to read when you do your inspection of the TT. If it is your first it would be great if you know someone who has one already that can come with you.
If possible as the dealers rep walks around and tells you how everything works it may be a great idea to video tape it for later viewing and answers.

Here is some general information you should know and look for during the inspection.

IMHO ~ Toilet Tissue ~

Remember, there's nothing wrong with picking up subs, a fried or rotisserie chicken meal with the fixin's, and doing your basic burgers, dogs, and beans. Keep it simple.

Ditto! More time to sit back and relax especially on day 1, trip 1.
