Great tips, Charlie and others.

The missus and I hope to get a class A with toad when she retires, and I have always wondered about fuel stops.

1 question: Can you back up a class A at all if you have a toad?? Like maybe 5 feet in case you misjudge a sharp turn ??

I have a few feet but got out to check to be sure the arms were locked in place or else they'll collapse. I'm only towing a Grand Am so it's not heavy and I was on very level ground.

As I understand, your towed vehicle tires will immediately turn in the wrong direction. Therefore no backing without dire consequences.

Thanks for the replies. A class A for us is about 5 years away, but I am starting to get ideas and look at units now.
