Recently Purchased a Rockwood 23WS

Hello From San Marcos, CA. Last summer my wife and I drove back to Sipshawanna Indiana and bought a RockWood 23WS. The cost difference made the drive worth while and we were stopping in Colorado for a month. We down sized from a 34 foot Super C and find driving the F150 much more pleasant. (no pots, pans, and other noise from the coach. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the WS is just marginally smaller in living area than the 34 foot coach. The drop down beds are the key.

It's a damn nice setup. We used our 2017 23WS over 60 nights since April and its our 3rd hybrid in about 6 years. Bigger is not always better. Hybrids are the poop in my opinion. 35 feet of camper that only takes up 23' I have lots of friends with front bedroom 30' + TT'S and tell me we have more room in the Hybrid. Nothing like sleeping with the tents zipped open.

This is our first Hybrid, we had a pop-up before the 34 footer and we enjoy the more camping like feel of this unit. We have moved from parking back to camping.

Welcome to FRF!

We also drove to Chicago and back, from Napa Valley to pick up our Roo 23SS.
The 23WS is the same model except they added a wardrobe slideout.

We saved over $4000, even after trip costs.
People thought we were crazy.
Hybrids are perfect for California camping but never understand why they're so rare there.
