Repair canvas from a winter mouse

Any suggestions or help on how to do a self repair on our tent canvas. Had a mouse enter the trailer this winter and ate a hole in the canvas. One repair place said we had to take the tent off and bring it in for repair and they are unable to give an estimate over the phone. Any suggestions would be helpful, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Maybe you could iron on some sort of repair material in place? They also make certain glues to glue fabric together instead of sewing it... In Canada check fabric land or mec

Welcome Schmedly,

You can patch a hole with canvas fabric that matches the color and texture of your canvas. Basically, cut the frayed edges, apply canvas adhesive and patch both sides.

There are kits you can buy that are generic so the canvas might not match but that might be fine depending where the hole is.

You could also consider a product called Tear-Aid.

What popup/hybrid do you have?
