Rockwood Premier 2014 popup

Hello from Connecticut. New user, happy to be here, really :-)

Not the most mechanically or electrically inclined, we have a new to us popup and I'm having trouble with the battery running out. Our old popup used more energy but the battery lasted an entire weekend or more. This one, with a new deep cycle battery, was charged from Wednesday to Friday afternoon, and on the way to the site (1 hour drive), but with only moderate use (one electric winch use to raise the popup, a couple lights on and off putting kids and selves to bed) it was dead this morning. Seems unusual right??

Hi and welcome to the forum. May want to run a check on the battery. Make sure it is getting a charge. Most campers when plugged in should be charging through the vehicle if set up that way. Next I'd would add LED lighting. Later RJD

Newer popups have more parasitic power drains, than older popups had.
And I bet that your battery is not a true deep cycle battery.
If it has a CCA rating (cold cranking amps), it's not a true deep cycle.
