RV Parks or Campgrounds Near Savannah Georgia

My wife and I just purchased a new Coachmen APEX 250 RBS TT. We are wanting to travel to Savannah Georgia in the Fall for a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a good campground or RV park near there. I have researched a few parks using Google and Good Sams Club. Most have received bad or poor reviews. We are looking for good level sites with lots of shade.
Any recommendations are appreciated.

Last February, we stayed at Hilton Head Harbor RV resort (its only a 45 minute drive from downtown Savannah) and it was great. Most of the sites are privately owned but are available for rental whenever the owner is not there. The sites are full service and immaculate, with large concrete pads and lots of palm trees, co-located with a seafood restaurant, daily garbage pickup, free WiFi. The site we got (#52) the owners had really gone all out with the landscaping... multilevel done with pavers, table, chairs, firebowl, plantings, lighting, etc. At that time, waterfront sites were $69/night ($64 for 4 or more nights) and non-waterfront were $59/night ($54 for 4 or more nights). There's a nice nature preserve (on Pinkney Island) about 5 minutes to the east.

We stayed Skidaway Island State Park last year. It was really nice and quiet. Fairly close to downtown Savannah.

Hi everyone,
Thanks all for your comments. We will be making reservations in a few days for Skidaway Island SP for our October trip. The park received great reviews.
One question...for the cable TV hook up. Does the park provide a cable of should we bring our own?

If they have cable you will need to provide your own cable for your trailer hook up. Later RJD

I don't remember them having cable hook ups at Skidaway. You are close to Savannah and should pick up digital antenna channels if they don't have cable. We used our Tailgater down there, so I wasn't paying attention.
