The Geo Pro G16BH was the model we went with too after many trips to the dealerships. Have you taken posession of your new rig yet? Thoughts?

No, not yet. We're chomping at the bit to get our hands on it though. I think I may actually run out of YouTube videos about campers before it gets here...

That’s OK. I’ve had my trailer for a month or two and still watch related vids. I’ve seen some 2019 Geo Pro vids and like the looks of that new tub faucet that circulates the hot water.

Three things from a seasoned RV'er...

1) DON'T SIGN ANY PAPERWORK OR TAKE YOUR RV OFF OF THE DEALER'S LOT UNTIL A COMPLETE PDI IS DONE!

And make them fix any issues you may discover during the PDI before you sign any paperwork.

If you have to come back another day to pick it up...so be it...you will be so glad you did this!

These PDI's should take about 3-4 hours, but don't let them rush you through in 45 minutes as this is a sign that they know there are some warranty issues that will need to be addressed, but want you to get that RV off of the lot so they can deal with that stuff later!

Schedule your PDI in the morning so that you will have all day if need be, and Saturdays are the worst day to do a PDI!

2) Don't make your first campout a 5000 mile trip to all 49 states of the Continental US of A!

Keep it local so that you can get familiar with your rig and should you discover any issues (and you probably will find a few, mostly minor ones hopefully), you won't need to worry about having a ruined vacation or how to get it home.

3) Don't go nuts buying a whole shopping cart full of stuff for your new RV before you roll...

Your salesperson will probably give you a shopping cart and take you on a tour of their RV supplies and parts store...but resist the temptation!

Get the basics, then as you go camping with it you start to see what you really need and what you don't!

PDI is done by the dealer before the buyer comes in to pick up the camper. An Orientation is done with the buyer. At least that is how we do it and every dealership I have worked at has done it.

PDI is done by the dealer with the buyer at time of buyer pick-up.

At least that is how I've always heard and had it done...

PDI, of course, stands for Pre Delivery Inspection!

Exactly, Pre Delivery meaning it is done by the dealer before delivery to the customer. Hence, with the customer it is an Orientation not a PDI. Semantics maybe, but we don't do a complete PDI with a customer.

Can you tell us what all you do during the ODI/PDI?

And what is done differently between the two...?
