RV virgins

We are making a BIG jump from two fulltime jobs and a house to full-timers in our RV. We have given our notices, and ordered the truck and RV! I will actually quit working the beginning of June and the hubby has till the end of Aug, but with 5 weeks of vacation time for practice trips. I will be trying to sell the house while he works. We have never RVed before, so we need lots of advice and ideas. Please feel free to treat us like idiots (or crazy people).

Welcome to the Forums and the RV Lifestyle!!

STRONGLY encourage you to visit this website:

Could RV Living Be Your Dream? Let's Find Out!!

It is a website by and for fulltime RVers like you are soon to be (And BTW the owners of RV-Dreams went full time JUST like ya'll are - never RVed before)

Another good website is:

The escapees are a RV 'club' and website also devoted to full time RVing.

And of course HERE as well - lots of experienced folks on the FRF forums!

My family (wife, 2 kids, and me) are gearing up for a year+ on the road. But, while still newbies- we aren't totally green behind the ears! We've camped in our camper for 3 years now in it and have put a significant number of nights each year.

My blogs/sites may help you:
Learn To RV - it's a general information site for learning to RV
Now Or Never - a RV Tale - this is my personal blog for our upcoming trip

There are several Facebook groups to check out too. Living the RV Dream, a Full-Time RVers, 50 and Over RVers (if you qualify), RV Tips, RV Interior ideas, RV Organization Tips, RV Tips and Helpful Hints and Average Joe Camping. Those are the ones I joined.

I thought this thread was going to be about something else. Little disappointed.

Seriously, congratulations on your decision, many of us are jealous I promise! You're in the right place for advice on any and all aspects of the RV lifestyle and being on the road. Good luck!
