Well, tomorrow (9-27) my wife and I pick up our 2011 Flagstaff V-lite 30WTBS and will be staying in it overnight at the dealership. We are very excited. Hopefully we will take our first trip in October after I get off my dreaded night patrol. I enjoy the forums and all the advice. Maybe I can get some pics out tomorrow or the next day.

Good plan staying at the dealership. Note anything that doesn't seem right or doesn't work and leave the trailer there until it's fixed. A "camping trip" in the dealer lot or your own driveway for even a couple of nights is invaluable in learning what to do (and not do) before you are 100s of miles from home and help.

Expect the unexpected and life will be easier, oh yeah and pack a sense of humor, it helps a lot.

Just curious what are you pulling it with? We just ordered a Rockwood Signature Ultra-Lite 8315BSS which has the approximate weight of yours.
Congrats! We had thought of doing the "camping in the driveway" before trying to head anywhere with it but the dealership camping is also a great idea. Didn't know that was done.

I went through the walkthrough with the dealer, thought I could remember it all, guess what, I aint as smart as I thought I was. 5 years later, Savannah, GA, cold as crap, (Like 30 something degrees) I had burned most of my battery up using the heater overnight, not enough juice to run the slide in. Now where did you put the wrench to manually slide that succker in, did I mention it was reallyreally ccoolldd? I did not remember, had to wait until I got enough charge in it to slide it in. Write down that 'impotent stuff!'

Plug in the cord that runs from the trailer to the tow vehicle and crank it up. That should charge your battery and may even give you enough power to close the slide.

Kim, that's what I wound up doing. I had diconnected it just in case the thing on the truck that won't let it discharge too much did not work. It was unGodly cold, otherwise I wouldn't have worried about it.
If we ever leave out on those winter trips again and it is that cold I will take a groupe 71 charged and a jumper and not worry bout it.
