Hi from Georgia everyone! We finally packed the tent in the garage and purchased a TT on Saturday. We bought a 2011 Apex 22QBS.....is it Friday yet?

Welcome! You might as well sell that tent because you won't be using it anymore.

Thank you both! We'll appreciate the advice....we've learned a lot in the last several weeks we've been shopping. I hope to post some soon! @ Oakman - I'm thinking that's a great idea!!

My DH insists on keeping our tent. He said we may need it again if we go fishing in Canada again. Hahahahahaha, he really believes I'd go back to camping in a tent. Bless his little heart....

Oh no! Having the old tent handy is the best deterrent to uninvited guests. "Sure, you can spend the night, let me get the tent ready for you"

In all seriousness, congratulations on your new camper!

Bwaahaaaha....too funny!!

Thank you frankm! We are anxious to get camping (: We are taking the advice we've seen on here and keeping it fairly close to home for our first time out.

We too just retired our tent for good. We are going on our first outing this Friday. I am a little nervous about De-winterizing the coach since my dealer was more interested in leaving, since we were not able to pick up the unit until 4:30. They must have spent all of 10 minutes with us going over the ins and outs of the unit. Got the wrong keys and had to take unit all the way back to them to confirm they were the wrong keys. They even forgot to put my banks lien on the title and I had to pay to have that corrected myself. My next unit will not be from them. So much for buying local...

Congratulations! I hate to hear you didn't have a great experience with the dealer but you'll have fun on Friday! We also have to de-winterize but we were fortunate the couple we bought the Apex from was really nice and explained a lot to us. I just hope we can remember everything! We have also learned a lot from the forum!
