Saying Goodbye

After 5 years with our 8281SS we are moving over to a Jayco 355MBQS. Both the Rockwood and this forum have been awesome. We have a lot of great memories with our Rockwood and hope to have a lot with our Jayco

I will be around on the forum, always looking for great camping ideas and places to go!!!!

Picking up our Rockwood five years ago....

Picking up our Jayco last week (same rest stop)....

See you around the camp fire......

Nice Rig! Congrats on the new fiver. We too had to make the tough decision to leave Forest River for SOB. As a friend stated here earlier this week you have to do what is right for you even though it is SOB.

I believe all here understand ya have to do what ya gotta do. Enjoy your new 5'er, good luck in your adventures, and have fun.
I just gotta remind you there were severe repercussions for desertion and treason.

What's this 'Goodbye' stuff? There's no need for goodbyes, while this forum is geared towards Forest River, we welcome everyone.

On another note, how much did you grow? Looks like you had to be an extra lane over just to frame both vehicles in the shot. Between the truck and trailer, that had to be a significant increase in overall length.

I was concerned about that, so I figure I will carry a few extra cold beers to share with any Forest River owners who are upset

I have one already for you.

The trailer is 9 feet longer. I don’t know the trucks difference. I sold the Tundra last year. Will have to get used to the extra length. I thought the Rockwood was long and in no time I was used to it.

Very nice upgrades (the trailer only because it's longer )! I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I'll be around for one of those desertion beers!

My brother has a Jayco Eagle fifth wheel and seems to like it a lot. Enjoy your new digs!

Wow 41' 4 inches-that thing is huge!

I absolutely love the floorplan!

Congrats and good luck with your new rig. As an FYI, keep a close eye on the shower enclosure. I know two people with other Jayco models that were purchased in the past 2 years and both have had ugly cracks form on the bottom of their enclosures.

Congrats. We sold our Jayco for our Rockwood. Hasn’t been a day that I haven’t regretted it. The fit and finish and customer service is much more superior than Rockwoods. Have fun. [emoji41][emoji631]

9 extra feet and a 2nd AC..

Our 1st TT was a Jayco, and we liked it a lot. Just too small for us. Doesn't look like that will be an issue with yours.

Congratulations. Nice set-up.
