Thumbs up Shout out from the Show me state!

Been a member for awhile, but not very active. I am from LaPlata, MO just outside of Kirksville. I bought a 2016 Wildwood KQBTS late last year, but have had other campers for a long time, I think I purchased my first camper (1980 20' Jayco) when I was 18.

We camp pretty local for the most part. We are currently camping for the month at The Landing by Mark Twain Lake. My favorite trip is our annual trip to Homecoming at Mizzou and tailgating all weekend.

I do sales/social media/ad design for Drag Illustrated and STREET/RACE Magazines. So I get in plenty of travel from hitting races, SEMA, PRI, and other events. I also play in a bunch of golf tournaments in Northern MO throughout the summer, and take the TT to several.

This is my first new camper, and even though I love the camper, I have been very disappointed with the quality of it. I feel like I work on this thing a lot more than other used models I have had in the past.

Looking forward to being more active.

Welcome to the forum. I have a granddaughter and son in law that do drag racing. We all have a few issues with our campers but guess that's why you need to be a handy man Enjoy Later RJD

I'm leaving next Thursday for trip to Tennessee. I am hoping to make it near St Louis so I can get a few hours sleep then head down to Paris, TN. Trying to decide if I want a cg or a rest area to sleep. I'll probably have to go CG because my slides have to be out to access kitchen area. Two of my kids will be with me and I will have to have room for them to sleep as well. Not sure and my trip is getting really close now.

Cuivre River State Park is just east of Troy, Mo. It is a pretty nice SP. This might be too early for you to stop at on your trip. There are several more SP's south of St Louis down Highway 55 it just depends on which way you are going on from St Louis. There is another CG at St Peters, called Lakeside 370 at Truman and highway 370. This is a nice CG, but doesn't have any shade.
Good Luck on your trip.

I didn't think about the casinos and yeah we pass Cuivre SP. I need to look up how to pronounce that. I just hate to book anything because I am not sure how far I'll make. If I didn't have the kids I wouldn't need to unload the motorcycle but I need a place for them to sleep. I'll look at hose options and see what I can get. Thanks!

You may be too young to remember this guy, but I used to live next door to Fred Goeske. I believe at one time he used to be a funny car world champ.
