So new, I don't even have my camper yet.
Hello all. After running around the US and Canada on a Honda Goldwing pulling an Aspen Classic camper trailer, we decided to kick it up a notch. We were in the market for an Aliner until these hard-side Aliner clones showed up from Forrest River. My SO and I checked them oujt at a nearby dealer and liked it so much that we ordered one. We expect to get it sometime in Feb and are looking forward to this years new adventures.
I guess my only question is why does Forest River market two brands which are exxentially the same. The Rockwood A122 and the Flagstaff T12RB are twins as far as I can tell. Probably the same reason that the GMC Safari and the Chevy Astro are the same except for the name. Whatever that reason is. TTFN.
By the way, it's 78 degrees here in north Florida right now. Think I'll go ride my Wing.

Yes, except for trim, the Rockwoods and Flagstaffs are identical. Some here have posted that they come off of the same assembly line.
We saw a couple of the hard sided fold-down campers at the Dulles RV show......those puppies are sweet.

I had the opportunity to talk at length with a Forest River rep at the Ohio RV show in Jan, 2011. He explained the whole Rockwood/Flagstaff thing. According to him, the ONLY differences are the interior cloth colors and the exterior graphics. They are made on the same line, and the employees don't even know what they are building until the graphics package and interior trim pieces go in.

The Aspen Classic weighs in at about 500 lb and can easily be pulled by a Goldwing.
In 2007 we bought the Wing and took a 9k mile Florida to California trip using friends, relatives and motels along the way.We then got the trailer in 2008 and camped from Florida to Canada. In 2009 we hooked up the camper to a Mini Cooper and did a little Florida to Tennessee camping trip. Now after selling the Cooper and trailer we put money down on a Rockwood A122 hard side and we now have a 2011 Sorento to pull it.
Although we have traveled all over Colorado, we haven't had a chance to camp there...yet.

Welcome to the forum, we have a 2000 Aliner LXE and also have a 2011 Rockwood 8280WS. We have enjoyed our Aliner, but have decided to move up to the 5th wheel for long trips. Our TV for the Aliner has been 1929 Ford Roadster. The hard sides allowed us to camp in areas that the regular fold would not. I am sure you will enjoy your new camper.

It's so two local dealers can sell the same trailer without infringing on the others brand name.
