I absolutely hate squirrels (gray ones in particular). They wreck my lawn, chew wires, have chewed on my sliding door screens, destroyed many bird feeders...

Some good suggestions above. I know you said no guns, but CCI subsonic .22 longs out of 18"+ barrel rifle are super quiet (even quieter than today's air guns), are plenty accurate, and carry enough ooomph to handle your average critter. Ask me how I know

I disagree with putting bird food anywhere near your camper, though.

Don't think so:

That rat / snake load from CCI is good but I find it spreads out awfully fast past 7-10 yards. And it doesn't have enough power to cycle a semi-auto

In my ffl days---------------

In my FFL day they were know as "CB CAPS" It is a 22 load that is so quite that even the squirrel can hear it. They come in "shorts" and "LONGS". Works great!!!!!!!!

I know for I sold ammo and firearms for 15 years!

True, but they work just fine in a single six.
And the noise is quite a wake up call.

On the plus side the low velocity keeps collateral damage to a minimum

Hell, use a .45 Auto and blast the little tree rats into the next zip code.

Good point. One of my fav plinking guns is my step-dad's 9 shot Hi-Standard. Those CCI's work great in that (well, I guess all .22 loads do lol).

Can't be too prepared for a pack of rabid chipmunks!
