STL In The House

Hey all, just wanted to formally check in. Lurked for a while when we were researching our next camper, ordered the Sabre 5er, then joined and have been hanging around while we wait for it to get delivered. So, I'm new to the forum, but not totally new to camping or forums. I just traded my 2008 Chevy 2500HD diesel for a 2012 F350 King Ranch DRW diesel, and sold our 2011 Outback 312BH and 2011 Yamaha Drive PTV (golf cart) and ordered a 2013 Sabre 36QBOK. We're supposed to take delivery around January 7. I'm also a member of Outbackers.com and Dog and Trailer camping forums as well as a few other non-camping related forums. I'm quite the modder as the link in my sig will reveal. I usually try to do an informative writeup and post pics of most of them. Hopefully, this time I ordered the unit with enough options that I won't have to do too many mods. At any rate, this seems like as nice a camping community as the other 2 that I'm a member of, and I look forward to hanging around and being an active and contributing member.

Thanks all, I'm getting anxious. I know they have to get ready for the show next weekend, so I'm thinking if it comes in Monday, I'd best wait until after the show. I don't want them hurrying to prep it, and don't plan on being rushed thru the PDI. Seems like MO has a nice presence here. Anybody ever go to Pin Oak Creek? That's one of our faves. Anybody ever organize a rally hear or close?

There is the Branson, MO gathering of FROGs at the ABC campground June 3rd - 6th. Here's a link to the thread about that rally http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...3-a-32063.html.

A number of years ago we received a free night of camping at Pin Oak Creek. It really is a nice campground and very family friendly, especially on weekends.

I think it's a smart move not to push for delivery of your new trailer with the St. Louis RV show coming up. It's too cold to go camping anyway.

Don't know about the St Louis show but I received mine for the Kansas City show at Bartle hall yesterday. Maybe try looking on the shows website. I got one there for the Kansas City show last year. Even though we just bought our new one 5 months ago, we are still planning on going. Lol been getting the itch to go and with all the snow on the ground I'm hoping this will be a quick fix. I swear some days all I do is stare out the window and just look at the fiver in the driveway!!

It used to be the area dealers would offer discount coupons for the show but I haven't seen any this year.

According to the Travel Show's website, Seniors (age 60+), that would be me, can get into the show for $6 on Friday. I'm surprised they aren't offering that discount on Thursday too.

Hmmmm....says Seniors aged 60+ get a discount.....what happened to 50!!! I waited all this time to get there, now I have to get more Senior! LOL!,
