Stove/sink down - electric off

New to forum - insisting my grandchildren love camping as much as I do! Purchased 627d - starting with question...when I swing the stove/sink platform down to close up, the lights go off. Since there are still tasks to do, I'm wondering if this is normal, or I have a wiring issue. Any thoughts?

It's a safety feature to prevent fires. That is working as it should.

Suspected that possibility. Thanks for confirming. Next trip will be after dark...off I go for a battery operated lighting option.

Walmart.
Costco.
Home Depot.
Lowes.

Great to have for those times when you need both hands free.

When you close up the camper, be sure the overhead lights have cooled down first.

Thanks to you both! Since I have my most precious cargo with me (grandkids), I tend to have a check it once, check it again attitude and don't rush. The mechanical components were always handled by the ex - so I'm learning those ins and outs.
