Sunseeker 2300 Foam

We have just completed a month long holiday (the inaugural journey) in our 2012 Sunseeker RV. We are totally thrilled with our choice including its size, the floor plan, the handling and the motor. Many features have been improved since our last RV which was a 1987 model!

Only 2 issues to report:
1) The queen sized Serta mattress was too soft and cushy so we exchanged it for our own old Sealy Posturpedic!! from 1989!!! Excellent sleeps experienced once the change was made! Perhaps there should be a choice of firm to pillowy soft at the time of purchase for these bed size mattresses.

2) The foam in the U shaped dinette is too soft and provides no support. We specifically sat on the floor model seats to ensure a high density foam was used and were satisfied that they would keep us upright and not sliding to the floor. We mistakenly thought we were purchasing that particular unit but when the deal was sealed, we took possession of an identical (we thought) model. The seats provide no support and we constantly feel that we are sliding. Our Kelowna dealer (Country RV) claims this is an issue at the Forest River plant and not a problem they can do anything about.

Does anyone know of any recourse short of paying an upholsterer to replace the inferior foam with a better quality high density foam???

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new Sunseeker! Not sure what happen with the change with the cushion form. Is the floor model still on the lot at the dealership? If so testing it out again might provide some answers either way. I was surprised that I didn't remember my trailer as correctly as one would think. It's easy to mix up elements when comparing units as things become muddled. But not for the fact I took pictures I wouldn't believe it either in my case.

I would like better cushions too but decided to wait until I wear mine out since I paid for them already.
