Smile Texas Newbie

Hello Everyone,

I am the proud owner of a new 2008 Cherokee Lite 28A+. This is my first TT and we are enjoying it so far.

We have been out twice so far since purchasing back in October:
1. Bastrop State Park - Bastrop, Texas
2. Goliad State Park - Goliad, Texas

We are definitely enjoying the trailer. I tow my rig with a 2002 Ford F150 SuperCrew 4x2 (5.4 engine / autotrans) using an Eaz-Lift weight distribution hitch and Eaz-Lift anti-sway bar. I plan on upgrading to a new 2008 F150 4x2 Lariat SuperCrew later this year.

I have already found this forum to be very helpful and welcoming. Thanks everyone!

Regards,
Chris

Thanks! I see you are in Texas. We want to head down to the coast in the spring. Recommendations for camping sites at South Padre Island?

I used to hang out a Corpus and Port Aransas when I was a young stud in the military.

Thanks "powerboatr". This is our first RV and we learning a lot. We have visited Kerrville, Goliad, and Bastrop state parks.

What are your favorite campgrounds in Texas?

Congratulations on your new rig. How is Bastrop State Park for camping? I have heard good and bad.
We live in Texas also-Lufkin(East Texas)

Thanks.
