Timex from Mississippi

Hi everyone!
Just last week I bought a brand new 2012 Flagstaff V Lite 30 WRLTS!

A little personal RV history. In 1995, my wife and I got into the camping "business" with a Coleman pop up. Basically what it was is a glorified tent on wheels with an air conditioner. We pulled it with a GMC Safari van, then a full sized GMC van with a 305 engine and a 3:42 rear axle. After 3 years of that, and a lot of fun, I might add, we thought we should move up a level. Bought a used Hi-Lo, kept it 4 months with 3 trips of record and decided that was not what we wanted. After searching for a few months, we found a dealer with a model that we could afford and be comfortable with. So a 26 foot Dutchmen travel trailer was added to the family. Found out real quick that the van could not pull it. Bought a Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins engine and a 4:10 rearend. Three years after purchase of the trailer, we get a letter in the mail from the dealer thanking us for our business and informing us they are going out of business. Joy, joy! In 2005, we sold the truck and downsized to a Dodge 2500 Ram Quadcab gas burner Hemi with a 3:73 rearend. Needless to say, with very little trouble from that Dutchmen, only minor maintenance, our present dealer took it in a trade(sight unseen) for what we could have sold it for ourselves, for the new V Lite.
We take great care of our camping rigs and they take care of us. In 2004, I built a storage building for my trailer that is 45ft long, 25ft wide and 14 ft high. Fully enclosed, insulated, with full hook ups! My wife says it's a Toshz Mahal(spelling?) but I thought that was for a tomb!? Since this building will save the aging process of our new baby, it'll look like new forever!

This weekend we take our maiden voyage..we'll see if the truck and the trailor can get along!

They still sell big trucks don't they?!

Happy Camping!

Welcome and we'll be down your way in six weeks or so. We usually stay a week or so at Paul B Johnson State Park, just south of Hattiesburg (got some in-laws and out-laws down yonder.)

We are buying a Windjammer this summer, the twin of the V-Lite.

Glad to see your post JoeR! You'll have a HOT time at PBJ when you come to the Pine Belt in 6 weeks. High temps have been at least 97-102 for the past month. Summer starts next Tuesday! We live about a mile from PBJ. Matter of fact, we can hear the ski boats. When you come, give me a post and we'll get together!

Sounds great! Our plans are to leave here the last two days of July. We'll be down Nashville way around the 1st or 2nd, then on to Sippi.

I grew up down there, so I know the summers. We were there last summer also. Hot then too.
