Toads

My wife and I are interested in buying a 2016 Honda Pilot but we need to know if it's towable. Local sales rep says it is, Family Motor Coach Assoc doesn't list it. Is there anyone out there that's towing the newer model of Honda Pilot? It comes with 6 or 9 speed transmissions. We currently tow a 2009 Honda CRV and that works great.

towing a toad

I am wondering why we don't let the wife drive the other vehicle while we drive the RV. I know the RV dealers love that extra $2000 to $3000 for the equipment, but if you drive only 50 to 100 miles between camp sites why not save the money. I know that getting the RV in and out of parking lots and restaurants is easier without the extra 20 feet hanging on the back and with gas at about $2.00 a gallon my Ford Fiesta gets nearly 40mpg on the highway. I can buy a lot of gas for the cost of a towing setup and nothing to connect and disconnect at the site.

We usually drive long distances per day and have grandchildren with us. Better if grandma is in the coach while the Toad drags behind. I'm willing to pay the price, just want assurance from someone who's towed this particular car. Thanks.

I looked at the Pilot and no you can not flat tow them, you might be able to put it on a dolly. Google Honda Pilot owners manual and check out the towing section.
