TV Mounting Issue

We have a new 2013 Freedom Express 246KS pull trailer. We are trying to find a tv mount for the bedroom area to put a small flat screen tv on the wall. The problem in using a standard mount is that the wood backer in the designated wall to mount a tv on is so close to the corner that the tv cannot be flat against the wall. When you put the mount on the wood backer board, the tv is too wide to fit because of the corner. I am not sure why they didn't center that backer board on that wall instead of having it too close to the corner. We thought about getting one with the swing out arm but then we will have the issue of it possibly swinging while we are transporting the rv. Any suggestions? Thanks

to the forums and congrats on your new Freedom Express! I have a tv on a locking swing arm mount that I picked up at Camping World. It stays in place while traveling until it is removed from the locked position. Others will need to chime in here to offer feedback if this is something you could consider with your corner layout.

Smile Thanks!

Thanks for your quick reply! We thought about the swing arm and are now looking for one that will fit in the corner. Thanks for the suggestion for Camping World. We have some friends who also gave us that recommendation. Enjoy camping in the Fall!

My husband wants to mount the TV in the micro lite, not in the usual place but the secondary area, which is at the foot of the bed. Has anyone every mounted it to the cabinets over the bed, and will it travel alright in that area. We just do not watch it in the other area, too far across the room and usually watch while in bed so configuration of bed is not good for watching TV across the room. We put a dvd player on the shelf at the foot of the bed so movies are covered also. Any suggestions for any Micro-lite owners is very much welcomed!

You didn't identify your model but did it have a second TV option in the bedroom? If so, that will be the area where a backing board is in the wall to support it. If it wasn't an option on your camper, you'll have to finf a wall stud to mount the TV support bracket to.

Yes we have a cable connect at foot of bed on shelf, but hesitate to put holes in side of camper, would rather install under cabinet as it is more sturdy and will not afford a leak at sometime down the road. The cabinets run the whole length of the trailer and are right above the shelf for the TV, just need suggestion for type ofbracket, small and light flat screen, 13 inches. Micro-lite 2011 with queen bed going sideways to Refrigerator.
