We love our 2011 189 S!

Thanks for providing this forum!

We looked and looked and compared everything over all and decided on a 2011 189S. We are pulling with a 2010 Nissan Frontier, V6, 4x4. We love the slide, it adds so much room.

We love the overall sporty look of the Surveyor. We paid extra and got the nice brown hardshell tire cover with the compus imprint found on the upgraded models.
We are empty-nesters traveling with a mini weenie.

GSO Camper; we are in the triad area as well, Winston Salem. If you don't mind me asking, what area are you in? Have you been to Grandfather Campground in Boone? We visited there this weekend and it was AWESOME!

Lindaburnette: We are in Greensboro, so we are close by! Haven't been to Grandfather Campground as I am not much of a mountain person. We would love to meet up with other campers and not any of our friends camp. We usually camp at places within a couple hours from home. We like Asheboro -they have a couple decent campgrounds. Been wanting to try Falls Lake or Jordan but are not familiar with them. Have been to Kerr lake lots of times over the years. And we go to White Lake at least once a year. We are hoping to get away at least one more time before winter. Were hoping to go for Haloween weekend, but the places we like to go are already booked. If you have any ideas or any trips planned, let me know. Maybe we can meet up sometime. And it is just the 2 of us too. (Our dogs stay home - not happy campers).

GSO Camper: It was our first trip to the mountains of NC and we primarily went because my son lives in Boone and it was a camping/visit trip all in one. I was pleasantly suprised at just how beautiful it was up there this time of the year, just when the leaves were in full color. We love Yogi Bear at Natural Bridge VA( 3 hours away) and we spent about a week this summer at Lakewood Campground at Myrtle Beach and that was simply awesome. I'm ready now to make revs next year! They say you should to get a good spot. We vacationed at White Lake years ago when the kids were small, I haven't been there camping yet. We too, are wanting to take our final trips this year, I know we have plans to go to Homeplace Park in Ararat NC the weekend of the 22nd, for Sat night. Check it out on line. And, we are looking to take our last trip of the year Friday and Sat, Oct 28-30 but nothing final yet. Considering KOA in Wilmington, just a couple of miles from downtown and the ocean- for one more beach trip. Just can't make up our minds! And, as of a few days ago they still had spots available for full hookups. We also are looking at Lake Myers Campground in Mocksville, have you been there?
We leave our big puppy at home too, he's just too wild to camp with us and simply too big for our little camper!! He's a 7 month old Aussie Lab.
