We took the plunge today....

We made the leap and bought our first 5er today. Bought the new Columbus F340RK. We enjoy cooking, especially on the weekend, when we have time to dedicate to creating great meals, so the large rear kitchen is perfect for us. After doing lots of research, the quality and price of this unit is incredible in comparison to it's competitors.

We can't wait for the camping season to begin! We seasonal camp and after a long work week, we love the convenience of being able to pull up to our site every Friday night, unlock the door, and start our weekend. Of course, we are a bit envious of those who get to hit the open road, but some day that dream may come true for us. If only that four letter word "work" didn't get in our way. So for now, we happily spend our weekends in the campground and have gotten to know some pretty nice people there too.

And the beauty of New Hampshire makes it all worth the 2 hour trip up from MA for us. We just love the mountains, lakes, and fresh air up there! Life is good!

Our previous fiver was a rear kitchen. DW really liked the counter space.
I'm sure you're going to enjoy your Columbus. It's a nice rig. We reall like ours.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. You helped us make a decision we had been struggling with for two months. After lurking on your site, we learned so much. Our biggest concern was finding a manufacturer who truly backs their product, and after reading many reviews here I think we made the right decision. And now the long wait for the camping season begins....tick....tick....tick...

Congrats on your new purchase. Do you already have the trailer or did you have to order it? I know what you mean about the slow arrival of the camping season. We already have 5 trips reserved and are just waiting for the six month point to make our August and September reservations. If all works out our shake down trip will be about 2 weeks after we get our trailer in March. We live near Cherry Creek Lake in the Denver area so thats where our first trip will be. Close enough to deal with any problems we may have and we don't even have to burn a full gallon of diesel.

Congratulations...and welcome to the Columbus family. You're going to love it!!!

We're headed out tomorrow for 7 days on the road in our Columbus 320RS - as we do each month. We're not full-timers, but quarter-timers - spending one week a month in ours.

We had to order Dan. Actually, the dealer won't be sending the order in until next week, which is good for us because we are still deciding on a few of the smaller things. The dealer has told us that they can't keep them in stock; they sell as fast as they come in and being a smaller dealership they don't have the overhead to keep a lot of stock in the lot. It feels good to hear how happy most of you are about your purchase. We know we've made the right decision now.

Have a wonderful launching when yours comes in. Our daughter lived in Aurora for a while and we were fortunate enough to visit several times and explore the area. What a beautiful place to be! I bet the parks there are breathtaking!

Congratulations on your new Columbus... the wait will be hard. I too go online almost everyday to look at photos... hopefully the wait for us will be over this week.

If you're still ordering options you should think about dual pane windows, strong arm stabilizers and the slide out awnings, among other things. There's been a lot of discussion here on this forum.
